Ask us anythingHow much does a DJ cost?
Every event gets a flat quote after a twenty-minute first call, so you know the full number before you book. What changes the quote: how many hours you need, your date, ceremony or multi-room sound, and whether you add lighting or other services.
Does the DJ also MC the event?
Yes. Your DJ is also your MC. We make the announcements, introduce speakers and toasts, call awards or special dances, and keep the run of show on time. We plan every mic moment with you or your planner before the event, so nothing is read cold.
What kinds of events do you DJ?
Weddings, quinceañeras, corporate events, galas, fundraisers, awards banquets, festivals and private parties. The approach stays the same for each one: learn the crowd, plan the mic moments, then read the floor live. A company party and a quinceañera get very different sets.
Can I give the DJ a do-not-play list?
Yes. Your do-not-play list counts as much as your must-play list. If a guest requests a song on it, we politely say no. You can also flag songs for special moments, such as an entrance, a toast or the last dance.
What happens if the DJ’s gear fails mid-event?
We plan for it. Spare speakers, microphones and a second mixer come to every event, so a failed piece of gear gets swapped quickly instead of ending the night. We also load in early and sound check before guests arrive to catch problems first.
Are you a mobile DJ who sets up at our venue?
Yes. We are based in Albuquerque and play events across New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Texas. We carry liability insurance and send a certificate to your venue. We confirm the exact load-in time with the venue before the day.
