Denver sits about one mile high, and its weather turns fast. The National Weather Service ranks March as the city's snowiest month. June is a peak month for hail and severe storms. For any patio, garden or terrace part of your event, we plan a covered spot for the gear and a quick way inside.
The rules shape the night too. Denver's noise ordinance limits sound at nearby homes to 55 dB(A) by day and 50 dB(A) after 10 p.m. The Denver Fire Department requires a permit for cold spark machines and for fog or haze. We raise both with your venue early, before an effect goes on the plan.

We confirm load-in with your venue and send our insurance certificate. Planning happens by phone, video and email, so you can book a DJ in Denver on your own schedule.
Will the music have to stop at 10 p.m. in Denver?
Not always, but the volume has to drop. Inside the City and County of Denver, the noise ordinance limits sound at the nearest homes to 55 dB(A) from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 50 dB(A) after that. Aurora, Lakewood and other suburbs have their own rules, and many venues set their own end times. We check your venue's rules, aim speakers away from homes and plan the late set around the limit.
Can we use cold sparks or haze at a Denver venue?
Often, with planning. The Denver Fire Department requires a special event fire permit for every cold spark machine, under the same rules as pyrotechnics. Fog and haze machines need a fire permit too. Your venue may add its own rules on top. Tell us early which effects you want. If an effect is not allowed in your room, we plan a lighting moment that is.
What if snow or a storm hits our outdoor event?
Plan for it from the start. March is Denver's snowiest month, and June brings some of the year's worst hail and storms. For patios, gardens and terraces, ask your venue about a covered or indoor backup space. We set the gear where it can be covered fast, and we can move the music inside when the venue makes the call.
Can your DJ MC a conference party or awards night?
Yes. The DJ also works as your MC, handling announcements, award walk-ups, toasts and the timeline. Denver has big rooms, from convention center ballrooms to hotel halls, so we plan enough microphones and speakers for every speech to reach the back tables. How much does a DJ in Denver cost?
Every event is quoted on its own, because the room, the hours and the services you add all change the price.
