City code bars River Walk businesses from putting speakers outside where the river can see them, and caps their noise at 72 dBA. Bexar County also declares outdoor burn bans in dry spells. We ask your venue about both before we set speakers or plan cold sparks.

Each item shows on its own line, and you get the quote within 24 hours.
Can you play a venue on the River Walk?
Yes, with the river rules in mind. San Antonio code says River Walk businesses may not put speakers or amplified music outside where they can be seen from the river. Their noise also may not pass 72 dBA or 80 dBC. For riverside spaces like the Jack Guenther Pavilion or the Tobin Center's River Walk Plaza, we ask the venue team how those limits apply and set speakers and volume to match.
Can our quinceañera include Tejano, cumbia or banda?
Yes. Send us your list and we build the night around it: the entrance, the waltz, the surprise dance and the open floor. Must-play and do-not-play lists are honored, and the DJ also MCs the announcements and toasts. If some moments should be in Spanish, tell us early and share the exact wording, so we can plan how each one is handled.
Can you DJ a military ball or unit banquet?
Yes. Joint Base San Antonio spans Fort Sam Houston, Lackland, Randolph and Camp Bullis, so balls, banquets and retirement parties happen here. Send us your printed program and we follow its order of events, then open the dance floor. We can add microphones and speech sound for remarks. Ask your venue or base event office about access and load-in rules early.
What if our event falls during Fiesta?
Plan early. Fiesta San Antonio runs about 10 days each April with more than 100 events. In 2026 it ran April 16 to 26. Downtown parades like the Battle of Flowers draw crowds of more than 350,000, which can fill downtown streets and parking. If your date lands near Fiesta, tell us right away so we can plan ahead and confirm load-in and dock times with your venue.
Can we have an outdoor event with effects in summer?
We can plan it honestly. July highs average about 95 degrees and morning humidity averages 87 percent, so we shade the gear and suggest an evening start or an indoor room for guests. Bexar County declares outdoor burn bans in dry spells, such as a 90-day ban in October 2024. Cold sparks need a yes from your venue and any fire officials first, so we ask before we promise the effect.
